MINI-MASTERPIECE INFO

What is a Mini-Masterpiece?

Everyone taking part in Wimbledon Art Fair must submit a Mini-Masterpiece as part of the registration process.

The Mini-Masterpiece is a small version of your work that we sell online for £99 in the build up to the show. Your Mini-Masterpiece submission will also be used as your image for the catalogue handed out to visitors during the show.

Why is it important?

The Mini-Masterpiece online sale has become an integral and extremely popular part of Wimbledon Art Fair. In terms of fundraising, it plays a significant role in allowing us to continually grow and improve the show experience for our community and visitors.

It’s also a fantastic opportunity for those taking part in Wimbledon Art Fair to showcase their work to thousands of potential buyers before we even open the doors to the public.

REQUIREMENTS

NICK VIVIAN - MINI-MASTERPIECE FROM NOV 24

Size

In order to ensure uniformity across the online sale and show catalogue, all Mini-Masterpiece submissions must now use the MDF boards provided by the office as its base.

You don’t have to work directly onto the MDF board. You can, for example, work on paper and stick it to the board or wrap a canvas around it. However, the board must always be the base of the Mini-Masterpiece.

If you’re a maker or ceramicist, you can continue to submit a piece with a value of at least £99 and you do not have to use the MDF board as a base.

The MDF boards we provide are 23.5cm x 23.5cm and can be collected from the Studio Office during office hours, Monday-Friday.

Deadline

The hard deadline to hand in your dry and completed Mini-Masterpiece is Friday 18th April at 4pm.

Any submissions after this date will not be included in the show catalogue as we will not have time to photograph the piece.

Remember that the first 40 people to submit their Mini-Masterpieces can choose a day during the show to hang their work in the Marquee Gallery. It’s worth being proactive and getting them in early for an extra bit of promotion!
